Jeff Goldman has a degree in Horticulture from Temple University and has been digging in the dirt for thirty plus years.
This is an interesting time to work in horticulture as paradigms and practices have shifted in order to better address the changing climate, the reality of lower budget thresholds, the increasing value of carbon sequestration, and the responsible use of inputs and garden waste. Some 30 years ago few understood the importance of native plants and the pollinators and other critters that depend on them. These days it really matters that we sustain these insect populations more than ever.
Along with the increasing use and even insistence on Native Plants there are new ecological principles involved in their planting as well. It's an exciting ride and Jeff is stoked to be in the mix of it all.
